What if I smell a natural gas leak?

Natural gas smells like rotten eggs, and if you detect this odor, leave the area immediately and call 911 or your local utility.

Never try to locate the source of the odor yourself. Stay away from the location until a utility field service representative indicates it is safe to return.

Starting Service

I’m switching from another provider or directly from my utility’s supply service. Do I need to cancel my service with them?

No. After you complete your enrollment, we’ll submit the switch automatically so the transition is seamless for you.

Payment Information

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept payments from bank accounts for all customers, and we also accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover for residential accounts. There is never a fee for any payment made through Infinite Energy.

We also accept the following third-party payment options:

Moneygram
Visit moneygram.com or call (800) 533-3133 for a list of locations. Use your Infinite Energy account number and the receive code “Infinite Energy Gas.”

Western Union for Residential Accounts>
We accept Quick Collect (which takes 6– 24 hrs to receive) or Convenience Pay (which takes up to 48 hours to receive).

To make a Western Union payment, please use city code “IEI” and state code “FL” as well as your Infinite Energy account number. For more information, please visit westernunion.com or call (800) 634-3422.

We also accept wire transfers; please call our Customer Care Center for more information.

How do I make a payment?

You can make payments 24/7 online via My Account or by calling our Customer Care number to use our automated system.

We also offer paperless billing and automatic payment options.

To mail a payment through check or money order, please choose one of the following options:

Billing and Charges

When will I receive my first bill?

Your first bill will generate within six weeks after your services begin.

How will Infinite Energy bill me?

In most service areas, your utility will add your Infinite Energy charges to your invoice and continue to bill you as usual.

Customers in some service areas will receive a separate invoice from Infinite Energy while the utility continues to bill for delivery.

What services does my utility perform for me?

While Infinite Energy supplies the natural gas you use, your utility owns the pipelines that deliver gas to your home.

Their technicians read your meter, respond to emergencies and repair and maintain your delivery pipelines.

What are delivery charges?

These charges are assessed by your utility to cover the costs of maintaining and constructing the pipelines and equipment that distribute natural gas directly to your business.

Energy Choice

What is natural gas choice?

In the past, New Jersey natural gas customers weren’t able to choose their suppliers, and everyone received gas supply from the utility. Today, you have more options. You can continue to use the utility for natural gas supply, or you can choose an alternate supply company.

No matter which company supplies the gas, your utility still delivers the gas, reads the meter, and performs all the same services as before.

However, different suppliers offer more rate options than utilities, allowing you to choose the best plan for your unique energy needs.

By choosing Infinite Energy, do I leave my utility?

No. Infinite Energy will take over the supply portion of your service, but you will always stay with your utility for delivery service. The utility is responsible for delivering gas to your business, and its technicians read your meter, respond to emergencies and repair and maintain your delivery pipelines.
