Emergencies

What if I smell a natural gas leak?

Natural gas smells like rotten eggs, and if you detect this odor, leave the area immediately and call Atlanta Gas Light. You can reach emergency services 24/7 at (770) 907-4231 or (877) 427-4321.

Never try to locate the source of the odor yourself. Stay away from the location until an AGL field service representative states it is safe to return.

Starting Service

I’m switching from another provider. Do I need to cancel my service with them?

No, we’ll take care of that for you. After you complete your enrollment, we’ll submit the switch automatically so the transition is seamless for you.

When will I receive my first bill?

Your first bill will generate four to six weeks after your services begin.

If you’ve enrolled in our prepay product, Infinite Advance, you will receive your first bill approximately seven business days after your services begin. This bill will cover your estimated charges for the upcoming month.

What payment methods do you accept?

There is never a fee for any payment made directly through Infinite Energy:

  • Checks and ACH Payments
  • Credit cards accepted for residential accounts: Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express

Western Union for Residential Accounts

We accept Quick Collect (which takes 6 – 24 hrs to receive) or Convenience Pay (which takes up to 48 hours to receive).

To make a Western Union payment, please use city code “IEI” and state code “FL” as well as your Infinite Energy account number. For more information, please visit westernunion.com or call (800) 634-3422.

How do I make a payment?

In addition to the options below, we also offer paperless billing and automatic withdrawal options. You can sign up for these online or by phone.

Billing and Charges

What charges are on my bill each month?

Your monthly bill includes four standard charges:

  • The cost of the gas itself
  • Atlanta Gas Light Company base charges
  • A monthly service fee
  • Any taxes that apply to your area

For new service, your activation fees will be billed within the first three invoices. Some business customers may also see a separate Interstate Pipeline Capacity charge.

What services does Atlanta Gas Light perform for me?

While Infinite Energy supplies the natural gas you use, Atlanta Gas Light owns the pipelines that deliver gas to your home.

AGL technicians read your meter, respond to emergencies and repair and maintain your delivery pipelines.

What are Atlanta Gas Light base charges?

The monthly base charges are assessed by Atlanta Gas Light to cover the costs of maintaining and constructing the pipelines and equipment that distribute natural gas directly to your home or business. These charges are approved by the Georgia Public Service Commission and passed through to you without markup from Infinite Energy.

These charges generate on the 19th of each month. You will never be charged for more than 12 base charges in one year.

When will I get my deposit back?

Your deposit will be automatically refunded after six months of on-time payments on your account. Once your account qualifies, your deposit will be applied as an account credit within 60 days.

Otherwise, the deposit will be returned to you within four to six weeks of the date that you discontinue service with Infinite Energy, provided the account doesn’t have any outstanding balance.

Until it is returned to you, your deposit will be kept in a non-interest-bearing account.

What if I need help paying my bill?

Energy assistance programs are available for low-income households that need help with heating bills. Please call one of the following members for more information on eligibility and how to apply.

Nest

When can I expect to receive my Nest product?

Your Nest product will be sent to you by mail and should arrive within two to six weeks. If you don’t receive it within this timeframe, please contact us at (877) 342-5434 or at Care@InfiniteEnergy.com, where we are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern.

Who should I contact with questions about my Nest product?

If you have any questions regarding the installation, operation, maintenance or support of your Nest, please contact Nest Labs directly. Please call (855) 469-6378, or visit http://support.nest.com/Contact-Nest-Support.

How do I make a claim for my Home Solutions plan?

Please call (800) 446-7864, and we’ll get your service scheduled right away. Representatives are available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern to assist with your claim.

Is there a discount for choosing multiple Homes Solutions plans?

Yes! If you select all six programs, we will discount each of them by $1/month.
