Natural gas smells like rotten eggs, and if you detect this odor, leave the area immediately and call Atlanta Gas Light. You can reach emergency services 24/7 at (770) 907-4231 or (877) 427-4321.
Never try to locate the source of the odor yourself. Stay away from the location until an AGL field service representative says it’s safe to return.
No, we’ll take care of that for you. After you complete your enrollment, we’ll submit the switch automatically so your transition is seamless.
Your first bill will generate after your services begin.
If you’ve enrolled in our prepay products, Infinite Advance, you’ll receive your first bill about seven business days after your services begin. This bill will cover your estimated charges for the upcoming month.
For service for your home, we accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. For business accounts, we accept American Express only.
No matter which card you choose, you’ll never pay a processing fee with Infinite Energy.

Your monthly bill includes four standard charges:
- The cost of the gas itself
- Atlanta Gas Light base charges
- A monthly service fee
- Any taxes that apply to your area
For new service, we’ll bill your activation fees within the first three invoices. Some business customers may also see a separate Interstate Pipeline Capacity charge.
While Infinite Energy supplies the natural gas you use, Atlanta Gas Light owns the pipelines that deliver gas to your home.
AGL technicians read your meter, respond to emergencies and repair and maintain your delivery pipelines.
Atlanta Gas Light charges you monthly to cover the costs of maintaining and constructing the pipelines and equipment that distribute natural gas directly to your home or business. The Georgia Public Service Commission approves these base charges, which are passed through to you without markup from Infinite Energy.
These charges generate on the 19th of each month. You’ll never be charged for more than 12 base charges in one year.

Your Atlanta Gas Light base charges cover several factors and aren’t based strictly on your usage. The base charges will be lower in some months and higher in others.
We’ll automatically refund your deposit after six months of on-time payments on your account. Once your account qualifies, we’ll apply your deposit as an account credit within 60 days.
Otherwise, we’ll return your deposit to you within four to six weeks of the date that you discontinue service with Infinite Energy, provided the account doesn’t have any outstanding balance.
Until it’s returned to you, we’ll keep your deposit in a non-interest-bearing account.
