Infinite Energy’s corporate citizenship program centers on education so that we can make the biggest possible long-term impact. Because we have a home in Gwinnett County, Georgia, with the Infinite Energy Center, we’ve supported several initiatives there, and we’re excited to announce a new scholarship opportunity.
The Infinite Energy STEAM scholarship will be a one-time award of $2,500. It will be open to any graduating senior within the Gwinnett County Public Schools system who plans to enroll in an undergraduate course of study in science, technology, engineering, fine arts or mathematics.
The funds from our $5 Giveback Program are allocated for educational initiatives in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. But Infinite Energy also believes in the power of artistic endeavors, which is how we came up with the 2016 Infinite Energy STEAM Scholarship to include the arts.
Scholarship requirements include a 2.7 GPA, a letter of reference and an essay. Applications are now available!
As part of our Giveback Program, Infinite Energy pledged in 2015 to contribute $5 every year for each natural gas customer we have in the county. That December, we made our first pledge of $41,325 to the local school robotics programs, which allowed 71 teams from 48 schools to attend and participate in robotics competitions.
