Last week, Junior Achievement of Alachua County honored co-CEOs Darin Cook and Rich Blaser with its 2016 Spirit of Entrepreneurship Award.

The award recognizes business achievement and excellence. It is given for vision, innovation, leadership and a focus on the community. The group presented the award at its annual golf classic fundraiser. The event raised $24,600 for the organization.

Infinite Energy is a proud supporter of Junior Achievement. For more than five years, the company has donated time and money to help its cause.

Junior Achievement strives to teach young people real-life economics. The group has 23 hands-on programs that highlight such things as entrepreneurship and financial literacy. Classes also stress work readiness and the value in giving back to the community.

Since we started tracking paid volunteer time in 2014, Infinite Energy has given more than 150 hours to Junior Achievement. It’s part of our corporate citizenship program, which aims to enhance education. It’s a part of us doing more for you.

We know the time and energy spent with these students will go a long way toward a brighter future. Thank you to Junior Achievement for all you do to empower young people. We’re proud to support this organization.
