The Gwinnett County Public Schools Foundation recently surprised the principals, directors and staff of 69 elementary, middle and high schools in the Gwinnett County Public Schools system with $500 checks for the schools’ robotics programs, courtesy of the Infinite Energy $5 Giveback Program.
Natural gas provider Infinite Energy has pledged to contribute $5 to Gwinnett County Public Schools every year for each natural gas customer it has in Gwinnett County. The Gwinnett County Public Schools Foundation received $41,325 from Infinite Energy as part of this program in December. The $34,500 contribution was allocated from this first installment.
“We are so pleased to be able to present the schools with these funds,” said Infinite’s CEO Darin Cook. “Robotics is certain to play a larger role in everyday life in the near future, and Infinite Energy wants to send a clear message that we support the next generation of designers and engineers. Today’s child may be the designer of the automated system that changes the world.”
The contribution to the foundation is part of the Infinite Energy corporate citizenship program, which supports educational organizations in the communities it serves.
