This summer, Infinite Energy celebrated its 22nd anniversary. Back in 1994, Rich Blaser and Darin Cook started the company with just three employees—themselves and one temp. But they hit the ground running and got their first deal before they’d even unpacked. They wrote it up on the side of a cardboard box.
Within three months, Infinite Energy became profitable, and it has continued to grow ever since.
Thank you so much to all of our customers who have continued to choose us year after year, and to all of our employees who keep striving to serve our customers better. We’re here only because of your support, and we’re so grateful to have the opportunity to celebrate another year with you.
Want to know more about how we got here? Let’s take a look at some of the milestones we’ve reached along the way.
1994: Infinite Energy began operations as a wholesale provider for customers such as utilities. Later they expanded to serve other large-scale users such as industrial customers.
1997: When the Florida commercial market opened up, Infinite Energy used its knowledge of wholesale products to begin crafting custom options for the state’s retail customers.
1998: Infinite Energy began serving Georgia on the first day energy choice came to the state. It is one of only three original suppliers remaining today.
2004: Infinite Energy began serving New York customers. In 2005, it began serving New Jersey as well.
2006: The Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association named Infinite Energy “Supplier of the Year.”
2010: Infinite Energy began supplying electricity in Texas.
2015: Infinite Energy purchased naming rights to the Gwinnett Center (now the Infinite Energy Center) in Duluth, Ga.
Today: Infinite Energy has 350 employees and has been recognized multiple times by Florida Trend and Outside magazines as part of the Best Companies to Work For awards. Corporate headquarters in Gainesville, Fla., are based in four office buildings totaling over 55,000 square feet, and the company has additional offices in Georgia and Texas.
