Allows you to always buy gas
“at the market”. Because the wholesale price
of gas is determined by trading on the New York Mercantile
Exchange (NYMEX), it is subject to change constantly.
The Variable Rate follows the NYMEX, meaning that as
the natural gas wholesale price fluctuates, so will
your therm rate. This program is suitable for those
that are risk averse! Another benefit of the Variable
Rate is that you can convert to a Fixed Rate when you
deem it worthwhile.
