Infinite was formed in 1994 by two young utility energy buyers, Darin Cook and Rich Blaser, in Gainesville Florida. In those early days we provided natural gas to utilities and large industrial customers. Infinite showed its innovation by creating pricing options new to the wholesale natural gas industry and was supplying the complete needs of utility companies such as Jacksonville Electric Authority, Gainesville Regional Utilities and Seminole Electric Company plus a host of smaller municipalities throughout Florida.

In 1997 Infinite began to experiment in the retail markets by supplying natural gas to less than 100 commercial accounts in Florida. In 1998 Atlanta Gas Light deregulated their natural gas system requiring all consumers to purchase natural gas from a supplier of their choice. Infinite had participated in developing the rules for this program and served its new group of customers on the first day of deregulation in Georgia.

In 1999 an apartment complex management company approached Infinite to supply its natural gas needs. This was a tricky proposition, but Infinite's innovation and its ability to provide the billing options desired by the management company gained 30,000 customers in the apartment community.

In 2004 Infinite brought its expertise and innovative products to the retail natural gas markets in New York and New Jersey and quickly gained over 10,000 customers in these markets.

Providing customers with the pricing options and services they expect requires a very effective computer programming staff. Infinite maintains a large and effective group of programmers and analysts. We've become not only a natural gas company but a technology company that sells natural gas. This focus on technology allows us to develop pricing options and services that other marketers do not have.

Infinite's main campus is located in on eleven wooded acres in Gainesville, Florida. Our Georgia office, staffed by approximately forty employees is located in Marietta.

Infinite has just been named one of the best 25 large companies to work for in Florida. Our excellent work environment translates to excellent products, innovation and service to our customers.

Infinite celebrated its 15th anniversary this year. From the humble Infinite now employs 370 people and had total revenues of over $500 million in 2009. The exciting thing is that we have only just begun to grow.
